SJP MODEL UNITED NATIONS TEAM

 

Model UN is an innovative academic simulation of the United Nations where students have an opportunity to learn about international relations, the art of diplomacy and understand the operations of the most important international organizations in the world. Students also have an opportunity to role-play as ambassadors and delegates and debate on various topics that appear on the UN’s agenda.
 
Students research current issues facing our global community and prepare to compete with other youths from all over the world. Members prepare draft resolutions, plot strategies, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and adhere to The UN’s rules of procedure in resolving problems that affect our world. Students are empowered with leadership skills and gain a better understanding of International Affairs and world cultures.
 
Students achieve a better understanding of today's issues and are inspired to help make changes in the world. The Model United Nations Club is an exciting educational activity that prepares students for career and college success.
