Ring Day Celebration

Before the rings were presented to students,  Fr. Liju Augustine, the School Chaplain blessed the rings and sprinkled them with holy water and reminded the juniors, "The class ring symbolizes your life-long connection to St. John's Prep, its values, traditions and friendships. But more than all of that, it signifies the honor and service that you experience, embrace, and live out as students long after you leave St. John's Prep."

Standing in front of her classmates, Junior President Abigail Castillion reminisced about her time at SJP and spoke about the importance of leadership, "This marks the beginning of the seniors passing on the torch of leadership and responsibility to us.  These rings represent the hard work, the discipline and some of the best times of our lives we share with our friends, our classmates, our family and the supportive teachers we have here at SJP.  Receiving a class ring tonight is an honor, an achievement and a perfect symbol for each of us to remember our time together here at St. John's Prep."
