Student Council President, Bryan Bogats warmly welcomed the 2017-2018 Executive Board Officers and SC homeroom reps at the annual Thanksgiving mass. The inductees took the pledge of induction and became full members of the SJP Student Council Chapter. Student Council gives St. John's Prep students beginning in their freshmen year, an opportunity to develop self-confidence, leadership and organizational skills by giving back to the community. SJP's Student Council has been very busy this fall to carry out their mission to "Serve Others". In September, with the support of the entire student body they raised the necessary funds needed to prepare meals for the Men's Shelter at Immaculate Conception. They ran several events in October to support the fight against breast cancer. Most recently, the students partnered with St. John's School in Puerto Rico to support their efforts to help the community in San Juan rebuild after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria. Student Council looks forward to an exciting year and its members are hopeful that they can live up to St. John's Prep's rich legacy of "Tradition, Scholarship and Service".
