Update for Parents and Families

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the encouragement, trust and most importantly, for the faith that you have expressed in our St. John’s Prep Community. Our remote learning program has been successful because we have worked in partnership with you. Your support has helped our students as they navigate through their daily and weekly classes and assignments.

We also applaud the dedicated commitment of our teachers for their meaningful, academically relevant lessons. They truly epitomize the mission of St John’s and we are so proud of their resolutely determined efforts. Many of you have expressed your appreciation for the structure and content of the classes. We appreciate your feedback and ask you to continue offering reactions, observations and suggestions. Working together is the key to our success.

While all is going well, we need your assistance in establishing a strong academic environment. Please help us by ensuring that students are:

Signing in for daily attendance (School Home Page)
  • On time for each class
  • Dressed appropriately
  • Engaged in lessons
  • Submitting assignments promptly
  • Contacting teachers and counselors for help or questions

We miss our students and we want them to be successful. We will continue to communicate and to work with you in providing an excellent Catholic education during this unprecedented time. Teachers will notify parents if a student is not meeting the class criteria. If students are absent, parents are required to contact Mr. Kiggins by 9:30am by email to [email protected]. Ms. O’Grady will notify you if a student is reported absent from a class. The third marking period will end on Tuesday, March 31st and report cards will be available on Home Logic on April 7th. Please note that Home Logic will be closed from March 30th - April 7th.

We have received many notes from Alumni, Parents, Friends, Board Members, and Students telling us that they are praying for the health and welfare of all members of St. John’s Prep. We appreciate their concern, support and prayers and believe that we are all blessed to be part of our faith-filled school community. Please join with us as we continue to pray for our sick, our school, our nation, and our world. Our school Chaplin, Father Liju, is keeping each member of the St. John’s Prep community in his daily prayers and intentions.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Please remain safe and prayerful.

God’s blessing to you and your families.
