THANKS TO THE GIRLS WHO CODE

St. John's Prep students received more than just a classroom lecture while visiting the Google location in Manhattan this week. The girls toured the building, sat down, and met with several different Google employees, including programmers, members of the marketing and sales team, along with a graduate of SJP.  They learned that Google is not just filled with programmers, but with many people from different walks of life working for the company. The girls received valuable feedback in a  Q & A regarding career, resume building, and what hard and soft skills are necessary to work at many of the top companies in the world, including Google. The club’s moderator, Ms. Hillig, pointed out, “I want our  students to embrace coding and realize the benefits of working at one of our country’s most well-known companies.”
