SJP Students Release Trout Into Watershed Streams

Students in the SJP Environmental Science Classes have raised trout since since early fall and care for them until the spring. The highlight of the program is when the students release their trout into into local watershed streams. Students learn first hand in class about fish development and the connections between trout, the New York City water supply system, water quality, and the city’s water tunnels.
