DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Academic Support Tutoring Program:  Will meet today & Thursday at 2:45P.M.-3:45P.M. in the Library. Questions see Mr. Powers.

 

Senior Polos are available to order on the Lands’ End website.

 

Asian Culture Club: Will be meeting today at dismissal in 105S. 

 

Math Club: Meeting today afterschool in 202S. 

 

Photography Club: Will meet today at dismissal in the Library.

 

Culinary Club: Will meet today at dismissal in the Library. We are taking our Yearbook photo.

 

Model UN Club: Meeting Wednesday afterschool in 203S.

 

Puzzle Club:  Will not meet this week.

Italian Culture Club:  Will take its yearbook today after school and a meeting will follow.

 

Model United Nations Club and The Newspaper Club:  Will meet on Wednesday at dismissal in 203S.

 

Speech & Debate Society:  Will be meeting on Wednesday immediately after school in 113S.

 

Stagehands Club:  Will meet Wednesday after school in the Auditorium. 

 

Rehearsals for all the Talent Show contestants today at 2:45P.M. in the Auditorium.

 

Glee Club:  Will meet Thursday at 2:45P.M.in Studio 18. 

 

Reminder to All our SJP students to take a look at the Guidance bulletin board for postings regarding scholarships, summer programs, internships and employment opportunities.

 

**All Students ~ A Reminder:  If you find something please bring it to the Student Center so we can have it announced.  And please check the Student Center if you lost or misplaced any of your items.

 

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) The application is available now!  Summer Youth Employment Program 2023 is open to: Youths between the ages of 14 -24, as of July 3^rd, 2023 and a Resident of one of the five boroughs of New York City.  This is a lottery-based program.   Apply online by going to: https://application.nycsyep.com/

Deadline is March 31, 2023

 

 

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

There will be a Boys Volleyball open gym today after school at 2:45P.M.

Weight Club:  Will not meet today.

The Varsity Girls Basketball team will have a playoff games vs Msgr. Scanlan tonight at Christ the King. The game will start at 7:00P.M.  Please remember if you are planning to go to the game there will be a cost for admission. 

Boys Volleyball tryouts will begin on Saturday, March 4^th at 8:00A.M.

There will be a mandatory softball meeting on Monday, March 6^th at 2:45P.M. in 107s. Softball tryouts will be held on Tuesday, March 7th.

Track and Field will also have its first spring practice next Tuesday, March 7^th.  New members are welcome.

Remember in order to try out for any of the above mentioned teams you must be cleared with the nurse. Every student must have the following forms completed and submitted into the nurse:  NY Sports School Health Form,  Athlete Concussion Facts Sheet and Acknowledgement Form,  Cardiac Health Form,  Student/Parent Permission Slip.  The forms mentioned can all be found on the school website under “Student Life.”
