*For the fourth year in a row, the dance teams are showing SJP spirit by making Easter baskets for children residing in homeless shelters.  If you would like to donate a book, small toy, or craft items, please bring your donations to Ms. B in 213S or place them on the table at the main entrance. For more info [email protected]

*Students interested in finance, world politics, or economics can check out the Debate Team, the next topic for which is the IMF or International Monetary Fund.  Students can email [email protected] to be invited to the club, and then they will receive an announcement in their stream about the next meeting.  Practices are Monday after school at 2:45PM on Zoom and in 201N.   All are welcome.

 

Junior Ladies of Charity Service Opportunity: Open to all students this Saturday at 9am for the Outdoor Food Pantry Distribution at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Jackson Heights. The Italian American Woman's Center has a scholarship program to assist children of Italian American heritage to further their education.  This program is for high school seniors who meet the requirements of having completed three years of Italian language study in high school and a parent(s) who is of Italian ancestry.  If you meet the requirements and are interested, please see Ms. Ryan in the Guidance Center for an application.

 


NY State Senate’s Leadership Recognition Awards Program ~ Honors Juniors and Seniors for their achievements in Academics, Athletics, Arts and Community Service and the great work they do to benefit their communities.  All entries must be sent electronically and the deadline is April 2, 2021.  For more info go to www.ramos.nysenate.gov

 

Applications for the Robert W. Greene Summer Institute for High School Journalists at Stony Brook University’s School of Communication and Journalism are now available. For any students interested in journalism, media, photography, video production or writing.  The Greene Institute is a one-week program for aspiring reporters in their sophomore or junior year of high school.
