DAILY  ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Academic Support Tutoring Program. PM Session will meet today at 2:45P.M.-3:45P.M. For Geometry with Ms. Moore in 205S.  AM Session will meet Thursday at 7:30A.M. - 8:15A.M. For Social Studies with Mr. Turano in 113S.   PM Session will meet Thursday at 2:45P.M.-3:45P.M.  For Algebra with Ms. Hillig in 117S.   For more information or Zoom link email [email protected]

 

Italian Club:  Will meet today at dismissal in 207S and on Zoom.  The topic will be an introduction of the Renaissance in Italy. Students interested can email Mr. Firla at [email protected]



Social Justice Club:  Will meet today at 5:00P.M. on Zoom.  Students may email [email protected]  for more info and a Zoom link.

 

SJP Glee Club: Will meet tomorrow in 2N and on Zoom at 2:45P.M.  For more info email Ms. Rodano [email protected].



Spanish club: Will have a meeting Thursday after school. Students can go to 206S or they can email Ms. Zapata [email protected]

for a link.  Old and new members welcomed. 

 

Model United Nations Club will meet on Friday after school in 203S. Students that wish to join us, can email Ms. Adrahtas for the link.

 

Friday, Feb 12th all are welcome to come to 213S at dismissal and make a valentine for your mom or for someone special.  All materials will be provided!  

 


This spring break, (re)discover STEM with STEM Matters NYC!  Kindergarten through grade 12 students can apply to attend programs with STEM Matters NYC. A wide range of programs are offered at the NYC Department of Education’s Students Genovesi Environmental Study Center.  Students will meet and work with field experts in programs that feature real-world learning experiences.   Spots are limited and the application deadline is today.


 

The New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) awards over $50,000 in scholarship funding to students in New York State each year, with awards ranging from $4,000 to $12,000 per scholarship. For high school seniors interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an environmental major.    Scholarship Descriptions and Applications are available at nywea.org. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 26 at 5 PM EST.

 


Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum launched its sixth annual National High School Design Competition, challenging teens with: What would you design to create a healthier world? The competition is free to enter with entries due on February 22, 2021.  Prizes include design process mentorship, a Family Membership to Cooper Hewitt, and the opportunity to meet with designers and other experts around the winner’s interest in design.   For further details please visit www.cooperhewitt.org/designcompetition
