Late Detention: Today at dismissal in 108S.
Academic Support After School Program: Begins on Monday, September 24th. Teachers as well as National Honor Society Students are willing and wanting to help you succeed! Tutoring Monday thru Thursday from 2:45P.M. to 3:45P.M. in 105S. All students are welcomed!
*Monday’s Specific Subjects: Languages & Social Studies, Tuesday’s Specific Subjects: Science & Math, Wednesday’s Specific Subjects: Math & English, Thursday’s Specific Subject: Math. Students may come on any day for any subject!
All Cheerleaders must check with the School nurse to make sure they have a current physical on file before trying out!
Attention All Seniors: Ms. Curcio will hold a Common Application Tutorial on Wednesday, September 26th at 2:35P.M. in the Guidance Office. There will be a sign-up available in the Guidance Office during the lunch periods.
*All Dance Workshops will begin after school today! No experience needed! Both Ladies and Gentlemen are invited to come and try something new: We offer Spanish Dance (Room 210S); Modern Dance (214S) and Bollywood Dance (209S)! Spanish Dancers may come in school attire; other dancers are to wear exercise attire.
Global Ambassadors: Will meet on Monday, September 24th. Students who applied are to report to the 3rd floor at 3:00P.M. If you have not picked up your application please stop by the Student Center.
African Culture Club: Will have their first meeting on Monday, September 24th at 2:35P.M. in 206N. If you would like to join, but cannot attend see Ms. Lojo in 206N or Ms. Zapata in 206S.
*On October 17th at 3:00P.M. The NY Presbyterian Medical Group will be offering FREE physicals for any student. Each student must have parental consent. A general history form is to be filled out by each student participating. Forms are located in the Medical Office. Please sign up as soon as possible and take advantage of this opportunity. JV & Varsity Girls Volleyball: Will have an away game vs. Christ the King today at Christ the King.
Boys Soccer: Will have a home game today vs. St. Joseph’s By the Sea at 4:00P.M.
Cross Country Track: Will have practice today after school at 2:45P.M.
Basketball Open Gym: Will begin today for Girls at 2:45P.M.-4:00P.M.
Girls Soccer: Will have practice today at 4:00P.M.
Our annual participation in the Dribble for The Cure event at St. John’s University is tomorrow! There will be a short walk around the campus to raise money for a good cause. All St. John’s Prep students will also be having a meet & greet with the St. John’s University Men’s & Women’s Basketball teams! The cost is $25 which includes a bus ride to and from the University and a donation to the cause. To sign up see Mr. Levent as seats are limited. You do not have to be a student athlete to participate!
