Faculty Support

St. John's Prep offers comprehensive coursework and services with the goal of helping students to succeed. Students are encouraged to check their teacher's "extra help/ office hours" schedule  whether or not they are experiencing academic difficulty.

Peer Tutoring 

St. John's Prep is proud to offer peer tutoring as part of our commitment to academic excellence. Our senior members of the National Honor Society generously devote their time to serve as peer tutors, assisting fellow students in their quest for success in the classroom. Peer Tutoring sessions are available in the morning and after school, providing flexible options for students seeking academic support.

St. John's University Writing Center

• Students needing help with writing and English language learning will find support in the SJU Writing Center, which offers workshops on writing and communication. Please contact the English Department Chair, Mr. John Bethge -  [email protected]

Guidance Department

• Beginning in freshman year, the Guidance Department offers workshops on a wide range of topics related to academic strategies, study skills, personal development, SAT/ACT Prep, Naviance Student Connection and the SJP experience.
