Paul Vallone '85

Paul was a proud graduate of St. John's Prep, and strongly supported his alma mater. He had served on our school's board of trustees, and often participated in our annual Career Day for students. His passion for law, civics, and community engagement was infectious and his presentations to our students truly inspired many young people.

A former Queens City Council member, Paul had a distinguished career as a public servant. He represented the 19th District in Queens on the City Council from 2014 to 2021 He was currently serving as New York City’s Veterans Services deputy commissioner.

Paul's family has a long history of supporting our school. His father Peter Vallone, Sr., served as the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. John’s Prep in Astoria. His brothers Peter and Perry Vallone are also graduates, as is his wife Anna-Maria Vallone.

The love of his family and his dedication to serve the community were the cornerstones of Paul's life. St. John's Prep proudly recognizes Paul Vallone as a man dedicated to service for the good of others.
