The Poetry Club serves as a forum for the creation and exploration of poetry. During its weekly meetings, members of the Poetry Club read and discuss new and classic poems from renowned poets. Students also spend meetings engaged in various writing exercises to hone their individual writing techniques. The Poetry Club has an open enrollment policy and is therefore always welcoming new members. No previous poetry writing experience is required.

Members of the Poetry Club also prepare the school for April’s National Poetry Month and sponsor The St. John’s Prep Arts and Literature Festival in the spring. Additionally, the Poetry Club publishes an annual compilation of student work.
