Clubs & Extracurricular Activities

Getting involved in clubs, sports, work or other pursuits outside the classroom can give you new skills and help you learn about yourself and can be fun.

St. John’s Prep offers more than 50 clubs and activities for students to explore their creative, social, physical, and career interests. St. John’s Prep’s many clubs and activities encompass a wide range of interests and allow students to make friends with other students who share similar interests. Students are frequently encouraged to join a club or activity as a way to supplement the school’s curriculum and promote social, personal, and intellectual growth.

Extracurricular activities also play a major role in applying to college. Most college applications ask about student's involvement. That’s because the things you do in your free time reveal a lot about you — in ways that grades and test scores can’t. Your accomplishments outside the classroom show what you’re passionate about and that you have qualities valued by colleges. Colleges want to know who you are and what you can do.
